                                           State Medical Council Conference

 Sir,

The Delhi Medical Council proposes to hold a meeting of all State Medical Councils on 18^th & 19^th February, 2012 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi to discuss the following issues of mutual interest:-

1)      Registration / Renewal of registration

2)      Continuing Medical Education

3)      Ethics in medical practice

4)      Grievance redressal mechanism – Complaint against doctors

5)      Anti Quackery

6)      State Councils and MCI Interface

7)      Sharing of information amongst State Medical Councils.

Registration of doctors and regulation of medical profession is a function of the State and the State Medical Councils.  It would be appropriate for State Medical Council to meet, discuss and have exchange of information for better and efficient functioning.   State Medical Council may work on a common platform with a long term objective of providing a transparent, fair and equitable platform for the people.
